Boredom

One thing you can always tell is when someone around you is bored. They give many hints and clues letting you know that they want to do something because of their boredom. One way to tell someone is bored is they constantly move and are all jittery. They can't seem to sit still for longer than 5 seconds. These are the kind of people who usually become annoying to me after a short period of time. A second way to identify a boredom person is they drift in and out of sleep. They are the ones with their head lowering and then raising suddenly because someone made a sudden loud noise. This could be described as Taylor McFadden. A third way to tell is their expression. They have this emotionless expression as if they aren't thinking about anything. This is typical of a person not paying attention in class. The last way to see that someone is bored is by the way they constantly avoid doing what they are supposed to be doing. They open their laptops to do homework, but somehow end up playing games. The thought of homework makes them bored.

Beating DC!

Last night was the first night of the boy's district basketball action. We played Daviess County. We previously lost to them twice in regular season play. We finally pulled out a victory to advance to the championship game of the district tournament. We beat them 44-41. Our team played really good last night and we actually played together. I believe another thing to that led to our victory was we didn't let our mistakes get to us. We just shook them off and got our head back in the game. I think winning this game boosted our attitudes and will make us fight even harder to win the district championship. They will want it more than they ever did, especially the seniors. It will give them something to remember that was special and happened during their senior year. Hopefully we will beat either Owensboro or Owensboro Catholic to win district and advance and go farther on in the tournament. Good Luck Guys!

What to do on a snow day?

There are many things to do on a snow day. What did I do on mine?
1. Clean the house
2. Take care of my puppies (I have 2 pomeranians.)
3. Hang out with friends
4. Go to my boyfriend's house
5. Go sledding
6. Sleep in late
7. Get all work done that needs to get done
8. Read A Tale of Two Cities
9. Draw and color
10. Blog about random things that I think are interesting

Chickens...

There are many reasons for the chicken to cross the road...
1. To get to the other side.
2. The dog was after him.
3. He was tired of being on that side so he moved.
4. To help his neighbor.
5. Because he was hungry.

Senior Year

Senior Year is fast approaching and I can't wait. We are already scheduling for it and I have no idea what classes I am going to take. I am taking AP/IB classes, I do know that. I really am excited because high school will soon be over and I am going to go to college. I am also getting tired of junior year and all the drama that is going on with it. I am just ready to begin new classes because I am tired of the ones I am taking now. They are just getting a little old and boring. We are beginning to do just busy work because teachers are trying to catch up on grades and all the testing is about to begin. The tests that are coming up are the ACT, Kossa, and CATS. All these tests are scary, especially the ACT. The first time that I took that test, I got a 23 on it. I need to study and practice more so that I can do better on it next time. I need a good score on it so that I can get into the college that I want. Colleges look at this score the most and it determines the amount of scholarship money that you get.

Update on Quadratics Test!

So yesterday, I received my quadratics test back and it did indeed have a score on it. I didn't do as bad as I had originally thought, but still horrible none the less. I received a 64 on it. That wasn't the worst possible but still will hurt and did hurt a lot. It really made me realize that I will have to actually pay attention and study for math tests. I haven't ever really thought about studying for math tests because I didn't really think there was a way to, but now that I know I'm going to do that. I'm going to take advantage of all the extra practice and problems in each unit. This will help me be better prepared and hopefully ensure the rising of my grade. So practice will hopefully make close to perfect!
